High-performance laser tracker
The Leica Absolute Tracker AT960 offers high-performance laser tracker technology in a portable, easy-to-use form factor. The robust, all-in-one laser tracker fits in a single flight case and offers high-speed dynamic measurement, acting as a complete solution for six degrees of freedom (6DoF) probing, scanning, and automated inspection as well as reflector measurement.
Leica Absolute Interferometer (AIFM) technology enables accurate, high-speed measurement of a moving target, while the PowerLock function ensures an interrupted beam is instantly re-established without user intervention, reducing operator workload and training requirements. Touch-screen controls minimize the potential for user error. Check and compensation architecture means basic adjustments can be made in the field, while robust design guarantees on-specification operations with minimal calibration and servicing.
Combined with the Real-Time Feature Pack and Leica T-Mac, the AT960 becomes a laser tracker that meets deterministic measurement data-delivery requirements of high-end automated installations. EtherCAT protocol enables delivery of 6DoF measurement data with accurate timestamps, enabling real-time machine control, even within highly-dynamic robotic setups.
With a measurement volume up to 160m in diameter, the AT960 is compatible with Leica T-Probe, Leica T-Mac, Leica T-Scan 5, and Leica Absolute Scanner technology, allowing AT960 to handle applications from the quality lab to in-line.Exact Metrology Inc.
Automated laser system
The Multishift automatic laser system with Industry 4.0 integration offers laser marking, structuring, cutting, and engraving.
Specialized sensitive robotic gripping leaves no indelible marks, and Multishift’s automatic pallet processing enables faster, more accurate laser processing.
With optical character recognition (OCR) and optical parts recognition (OPR), Multishift provides complete, accurate, hands-free laser processing. Online depth control (ODC) optimizes engraving, and dynamic focus control (DFC) tracks the laser’s focal point for accuracy.
Multishift supports nanosecond, picosecond, femtosecond, and CO2 laser processing capabilities to provide finer laser structuring options. Engraving in 3D is also supported. An industrial-grade frame made of high-strength steel is coupled with a temperature-stable granite structure. Glass doors provide 360° access to laser process functions. The ergonomic design is height-adjustable and provides a touch-sensitive surface.
Horizontal machining center
The DHF 8000ST single-table 5-axis horizontal machining center (HMC) incorporates a turning function and is designed without a pallet changer for a smaller footprint.
Designed with input from off-highway heavy equipment manufacturers, the DHF 8000ST features a nodding head spindle and direct-drive B-axis rotary table to handle machining and turning processes from roughing to finishing in a single setup. The ability to attack workpieces from all sides increases part accuracy, and the configuration enables quick work of multi-face workpieces.
The scaled-up HMC can support workpieces up to 2 tons, allowing them to be machined with the same precision as much smaller counterparts.
A 1,000mm (39.4") diameter pallet offers a 1,600mm (62.9") diameter x 1,400mm (55.1") height work envelope.
Cross roller linear guideways enable rigidity. The Y- and Z-axis are fitted with dual ball screws to ensure greater structural stability and accuracy, while the column offers static and dynamic rigidity. Linear scales on each axis maintain positioning accuracy.
A thermal compensation system, consisting of sensors strategically placed within critical areas of the machine, monitors and adjusts if thermal growth is detected. Cooling systems for the spindle and ball screws also assist with thermal stability. A 120-tool magazine comes standard, which is expandable to 376 tools. The DHF 8000ST comes equipped with a Siemens 840D control.
